DESCRIPTION
The stove’s cladding evokes the brocade vestments of the “Grancontessa” it is named after: Matilda of Canossa, one of the most important and fascinating figures of medieval Italy. The charm of her personality and era – and the “Ars Carnusina” which she inspired – served as a model for Maestro Sergio Leoni, who recreated in sober yet soothing ceramics the intricately decorated, elegant style of that particular historical period.
